At Westree Company est. 1975 we are professionally qualified Tree Surgeons and Arborists. We have been carrying out tree surgery for more than 34 years.

- Tree surgery carried out to British standards and above.
Crown Cleaning removal of all dead, dying and diseased branches, any branches that are crossing and rubbing.
Crown Thinning Removal of selected branches after crown clean to allow more light through the tree and reduce the wind sail effect (sway).
Crown Raising (crown lift) - After crown clean removal of the lowest limbs or branches to provide better head clearance and allow more light penetration.
Crown Reduction After a crown clean. This process can vary, depending on the scale of the reduction, generally the branches are pruned back to the next pruning points from its extremities and so on. This operation is often used to contain trees where insufficient space exists.
Dismantling Often required to remove a tree or parts of a tree in awkward or confined spaces. Usually carried out with rigging systems using other specialist equipment such as cherry pickers, cranes or climbing rope access systems.
Felling Large or small specimens that are no longer required.
Felling can be very dangerous. Specialist knowledge and equipment is very often required.
Tree Stump removal Using our power stump grinder we can access most gardens and sites (34” width access required).
Machine is self propelled and will grind the stump below the surface with minimal damage to the surrounding area. If your access is smaller we can usually help in its removal with small winches or by digging. Our machine will deal with very large stumps if required.
Planting We can supply and plant most species of trees and hedge plants. Guarding and fencing can also be supplied.
Hedge trimming and laying we can manage any size hedge whether formal or informal. Large conifer hedges are a speciality we cater for. If your hedge is becoming a nuisance to neighbours we can advise on the legalities and how you should proceed.
Emergency tree work We can usually be on site within a short time and carry out either clearing up operations or safe operations. 24 hour cover.
Advice We can offer advice and help on everything to do with trees. For example. Tree and plant health. Applications for work on trees with Tree Preservation Orders (TPO’s) and Trees in Conservation areas. Tree surveys and inspections.
